Part 28: Construction of the Centre for Computing and Engineering

The Coffee Kiosk Opens

Nov 25, 2004
LEDAR research lab is nearly ready for occupancy.

Nov 25, 2004
Acoustic panels were delivered and later installed in the Atrium.

Dec 04, 2004
The Tim Hortons kiosk at the main entrance, under construction.

Dec 8, 2004
A potential replacement chair for the undergraduate labs that was unanimously
rejected as being too fragile to endure EE student abuse.

Dec 16, 2004
The Tim Horton's kiosk on the eve of the grand opening which saw free coffee,
gift mugs, coffee tins and calenders handed out. The hot water
dispenser was not operational yet, so those wishing tea were
disappointed. Those wishing toasted bagels were also disappointed (no
toaster-oven) and had to settle for either muffins or doughnuts.

Jan 3, 2005
More chairs to
review-- the grey chair on the right was evaulated for superior
posterior comfort, solid construction and back support; it was chosen
as the winning model for lab usage.

Jan 3, 2005
New signs outside of ENG439 were installed incorrectly (I have to send yet
another email to Campus Planning). It seems nobody bothered checking
if the signs pointed in the correct directions. Very confused
visitors began getting lost and asking strange questions.
