CITO Tech Readiness Grant with a value of $28,000 was awarded to Sri Krishnan.

CITO STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM GRANT

CITO Student Internship Program Grant with a value of aproximately $30,000 was awarded to Xijia Gu.

MICORNET FUNDING AWARDS

Three research proposals from Ryerson University has been awarded Micornet R&D Research Funding. Micronet R&D is the Federal Network of Centres of Excellence (NCE) on Microelectronic Devices, Circuits, and Systems.

Each award is worth $22,000 per year, and the principal investigators and the project titles are:

  • Circuits Category
    • Fei Yuan,"Low clock-jitter design techniques for CMOS 10 Gbps serial links over copper channels and CAD tools for analysis of clock jitter of phase-locked loops". Dr. Yuan is receiving this award for the 2nd time.

  • Systems Category
    • Sri Krishnan, "Digital audio processing for multimedia applications". Dr. Krishnan is receiving this award for the 5th consecutive time.

    • Xiao-ping Zhang, "Adaptive model based multimedia data hiding, information retrieval and analysis". Dr. Zhang is receiving this award for the 3rd consecutive time.

Congratulations to Drs. Zhang, Krishnan, and Yuan for winning the final year of Micronet Funding. Micronet under the maximum 14 year rule for NCEs will be phased out in 2005.
